If you Students or Teachers are not seeing iCloud sync as an option in the Goodnotes Menu > Cloud and Backup, then it may be because this feature needs to be enabled or a restriction is in place.
In some cases iCloud may be disabled as default. If you were previously using Goodnotes in your school, then you may notice that this option has disappeared after restarting the app.
This issue can be resolved using the following two steps:
- If using MDM, please check that iCloud is not restricted to the devices. For example using Jamf, make sure that you allow for iCloud Documents & Data and Managed Apps can use iCloud Sync.
- Head to the Goodnotes Admin Console and click on Feature Controls in the Sidebar. Enable iCloud in the list of features.
You should now be able to use iCloud successfully. If you are still having issues, please contact Support and let them know where you are encountering problems.
