If you did not receive a Referral Code, then your School membership would have already been activated by our Sales Team. If you did receive a code and it is not working, or the codes you are generating for Teachers or Students aren't working, then please read the following article.
I received a code but cannot Sign In or Activate Classroom
If your code is not working and you are receiving an error message, then you should contact Support immediately. Our Support Team can then reach out to our Sales Team to work on getting a new code for you.
The codes I generate for other users aren't working
If you are signing up Admins, Teachers or Students to have access to Classroom, you will be using either a T-XXXXXX code or an S-XXXXXX code. These are found in the Identity Provisioning section in User Management in the Goodnotes Admin Console. If your Teachers or Students are reporting these aren't working for them please follow these steps:
- Check if the code is working for other users. If yes, move to Step 3. If also not working, continue to Step 2.
- Your code may need refreshing, please contact Support for help on this and provide them with:
- School ID
- Current Codes
- Original Activation Code
- Check that the Teacher/Student has a valid Goodnotes Account and that they can sign into Goodnotes 6 normally with this same account. If they can, continue to Step 4. If they can't, move to Step 5.

Your Teacher/Student's Goodnotes Account is working but is simply unable to join Classroom. Ask them to go through Troubleshooting First Steps if they haven't already. If they have, contact Support and provide them with:
- Current Code
- Teacher/Student Diagnostic Data

Your Student or Teacher may not have a working account or might have multiple accounts and may have already activated the code on a different account. Please ask them to sign out and sign in again with the correct account. If the issue persists, contact Support and provide them with:
- Current Code
- Teacher/Student Diagnostic Data
