What is Goodnotes Classroom?
Goodnotes Classroom is a new app that builds on the features you know and love from Goodnotes 6 but is fully redesigned for teaching. Turning Goodnotes into a more suitable teaching and class management platform, Classroom helps teachers and students streamline their workflows, get a better understanding of the class's learning progress and spend more time actually teaching!
What is the difference between Goodnotes Classroom and Goodnotes 6?
Classroom is designed to work with Goodnotes 6, everything you produce in Classroom will be used by your Students in their copy of Goodnotes 6. If you haven't used it before, Goodnotes 6 is our flagship application, centred around digital note-taking for study, work, lifestyle planning and more.
Goodnotes 6 is a consumer app, meaning anybody can download and use it for free and it comes with a ton of features for studying, mind mapping, organising and also teaching.
Can I sync files between my Goodnotes Classroom and Goodnotes 6 account?
Unfortunately, existing documents from Goodnotes 6 can not be automatically synced with your Classroom files. As Goodnotes 6 and Classroom are two different apps, you will be using two different accounts for them, and we can not sync files between the two platforms.
It is still possible to manually move your existing content from Goodnotes 6 into your Classroom workspace. You must manually export and then import the documents. You can find the instructions on how to move documents from one app to the other in this article.
