Experiencing data loss can be highly disruptive to a class, and we understand that not everyone prefers to use cloud or automatic backup services. That's why Classroom provides the option to manually back up your entire library into a convenient zip file.
Keep in mind that Manual Backups should be done regularly in order to backup your most recent data.
Back up your library
- Tap the ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner of the Library view > Cloud & Backup > Manual Backup > Back Up Now.
- Select a safe location for the backup .zip file.
Please note that the app needs to stay open in the foreground to finish the backup process. If you close the app, the backup process has to be restarted.
Restore your library from a Goodnotes backup
You can restore your backup file back to the library simply by importing that .zip file.
