Introducing Modes

Classroom uses two main modes for creating and teaching lessons and grading assignments. Here is a brief breakdown of these two modes and how to access them.

What are the different Modes?

The two modes you can use in Classroom are:

Prep Mode

  • Collaboratively create a single Lesson with all the exercises and materials needed for a class, then share it with your Students to work on. You can come back to Prep mode at any time to add to your Lesson and create new Assignments.

Teach Mode

Teach Mode includes 2 different modes within itself, called Whiteboard and Feedback

  • Whiteboard: Everything you do here will not show on Student devices and will only appear on your device and your screen, this is great to use while teaching a live lesson.
  • Feedback: Grade submitted assignments and view Student work.

Switching Modes

Modes can be switched in the Nav Bar at the top of your screen. In the Nav Bar, you will see two icons, use these to toggle between the annotation and whiteboard layers.

How to use each mode
