Once you have Goodnotes Classroom downloaded on your device, it's time to create your Teacher account!
There are two ways of creating an account and joining your School's Goodnotes Organization.
Through an Access Code
Your IT Admin can send you an Access Code or Invitation Link to set up Goodnotes Classroom.
- Launch the Goodnotes Classroom app
- Sign in using your school email address and log in method*
- When prompted, input the Access Code given to you by your IT Admin. If you have not been given a code and have already tried to sign in, head to the section below Step 3.
- Press Confirm Code to submit.
You should now be in! Once you have created your account, follow the onboarding guides to learn about all of Classroom's different features. Also, check out the following articles for getting your Classroom ready for teaching:
- Create your first Workbook
- Join your institution and set up your first Class
- Navigating around Classroom
* Please note: You must use a sign in method and email address that matches your schools domain, e.g xxx@goodnotescollege.edu.com. If you do not use the same domain, then you will not be able to join your schools Classroom Organisation.
Without an Access Code
If you have already set up a Goodnotes Account through Goodnotes 6, you can log in using the same account or create a new one if your existing account is not set up using your school email.
If you have not previously used Goodnotes 6 as part of your teaching, you will need to set up a Goodnotes Account.
- When you first launch Classroom, you will be asked to log in using one of the following methods:
- Microsoft
- Apple
- Choose the method required by your school. For instance, if you are part of a Google School, sign in with your work Google account. If using Apple, do not use the Hide My Email function!
- Your Goodnotes Account will be created but you will not have access to Goodnotes Classroom yet and will see an error message. Contact your Admin and ask them to convert your account to a Teacher role.
- Quit and relaunch Goodnotes Classroom once this is done, you will now be logged in with your new Goodnotes Account.
My school uses the same domain as other schools in the area!
If your school uses the same domain as other schools in your district or region, you can still sign up with your SSO login, you will simply be asked to also input an org join code.
This code will be given to your school by the sales rep who helped you get onboarded and should be available by contacting your school's IT Admin.
If the code is not working, please contact your Admin and ask them to contact our support team.
