Explore the Toolbar

All your tools and customization features in the one place - your Toolbar! Choose an icon to use it's tool and press again on the icon to access the tool's customization settings.

By default, the Toolbar includes (from left to right):

Tool options

You can bring up more options about how each Tool works by tapping its icon in the Toolbar, and then tapping it again. Depending on the Tool, this will give you access to:

  • Stroke Style
  • Sensitivity
  • Draw and Hold options
  • Writing Aids
  • Gesture toggles
  • Other Tool-specific options!

Each Tool will also have extra options such as Color and Stroke Size customization. These are usually found in the Contextual Menu on the right-hand side of the Toolbar.

Customize the Toolbar

You may want to customize the Toolbar in the app to enhance your note-taking experience and make it more efficient.

By customizing the Toolbar, you have the ability to prioritize and access the Tools that are most important to you. Whether you want to add or remove Tools, or rearrange their order, customizing the Toolbar gives you the flexibility to create a workspace that is optimized for your workflow.

Hide, unhide, and reorder tools

  1. Tap the ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner of the Library view > Settings > Document Editing. Or if you're editing a document already, open the More menu (...) in the top-right corner > Document Editing.
  2. Choose Toolbar Customization

    • To hide a tool, tap the minus icon in front of it in the Visible in Toolbar list, and confirm with Remove. The tool entry will move to the Hidden Tools list.
    • To unhide a tool, tap the plus icon in front of it in the Hidden Tools list.
    • To rearrange a visible tool, long-press on it and drag it to a new position.
    • To restore the built-in visibility and position of the tools, tap Reset to Default Toolbar.

Change the Undo and Redo Position

  1. Tap the ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner of the Library view > Settings > Document Editing. Or if you're editing a document already, open the More menu (...) in the top-right corner > Document Editing.
  2. Choose Undo and Redo Postion
    • Left (Default): The Undo/Redo buttons are located in the leftmost position on the toolbar.
    • Right: The Undo/Redo buttons are located in the rightmost position of the toolbar.
